Our clients include responsible landowners and developers who want to do it right, individuals who want to pass their legacy on to their heirs with minimum "shrinkage", and neighbors who want to protect our streams, lakes, wetlands, forests, fields, soil, and air, and their neighborhoods, from development done wrong. Our practice focuses primarily on environmental and land use law, including representing clients before municipal land use boards: planning boards and zoning boards of adjustment. We also actively advise clients regarding land protection mechanisms, conservation easements, historic preservation, and estate planning, focusing on minimization of taxes and preservation of our clients' assets for the benefit of their heirs. Some of our environmental cases have addressed issues related to toxic torts, hazardous spills and contamination, timber trespass, and boundary disputes.
