As an Attorney at BCM, Stephen practices environmental, conservation, land-use, and food law throughout New Hampshire and Maine before state and federal courts, municipal boards, and state agencies. He recognizes the value people and communities put on their local environment, and strives to help clients navigate the complex issues that arise when clients look to preserve or develop their local natural or built environments. Eager to work in his native New England, Stephen joined BCM in the fall of 2016 and looks forward to continuing to expand BCM’s practice to all of Northern New England.
Prior to joining BCM, Stephen clerked for Justice Anderson, Justice A. Murray, and Justice R. Murray of the Maine Superior Court in Bangor, Maine. He graduated the University of Maine School of Law Magna Cum Laude, where he served as an Articles Editor on the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal and was awarded the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award in Environmental Law and the 2014 Shur-Frinsko Award for Municipal Law and Local Governance. Stephen earned his B.A. in human ecology from College of the Atlantic in 2011.
Based in BCM’s Portland, Maine office, Stephen lives with his wife Cayla Moore and their two cats in Portland. Stephen enjoys spending time at the family camp in Downeast Maine, traveling, everything food (growing, cooking, and eating), and a good book.
